Bettye Thompson, 90, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2016. She was born September 16, 1925 the daughter of the late Major D. and Kathryn Pate.



She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt. Married in 1943, she and Rex Thompson celebrated 64 years of marriage. Through the years, she enjoyed dancing and traveling all fifty states and many foreign countries. She was a member of Westover Hills Presbyterian Church, was state president of Epsilon Sigma Alpha and president of her dance club.

Bettye was preceded in death by her husband Rex Thompson, her sister Norma Riden, and brother-in-law Jack Riden.



Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Kathryn (Lucian) Bramel of Sherwood; son Ken (Janice) Thompson of Clearwater, Florida, three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.



A celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016 in the chapel of Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth, 5800 W. 12th Street in Little Rock with a visitation prior beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
